The design of the Master series titanium frame emphasizes “Racing”. Therefore, stiffness and stability are the basic requirements. For serious racers, Master 325Ti helps reduce minutes.
Rikulau’s Master series products include 64Ti, 32Ti, and V9 stainless steel. Titanium combines lightness, strength, rust resistance, durability, good elasticity, and comfort, exuding a unique charm that is hard to resist. The frame design is mainly for racing. Whether it is titanium or stainless steel, the frame stiffness and stability are basic requirements. The characteristics of the tube material and the selection of tube size and thickness make the frame also comfortable.

The design of the Master series titanium frame emphasizes “Racing”. Therefore, stiffness and stability were the factors of concern. The design in the Master series solved the problem of lack of stiffness commonly found on titanium frames. Master Ti64 is a bike with power and speed.
6Al-4V titanium and its sibling 3Al-2.5V titanium alloy have many similarities, including density, strength, corrosion resistance, durability, comfort, and…”good looking”. The major difference, however, is tensile strength.
RIKULAU Master V9 Stainless Steel drop bar Road Bike
Rikulau Vulcan (V9) stainless steel is based on C465 stainless steel developed and patented by Carpenter, USA. It is the first seamless C465 tube ever made. The tensile strength can reach about 1900 MPa through heat treatment. It is the strongest material second to carbon fiber used on bicycle frame building.
V9 road frame stiffness was enhanced by an increase of down tube diameter. It is the most stiff frame among all Rikulau products. V9 Road Frame is a race warrior. It is not a product for everyone.

How to rent a road bike? Is there any reference for road bike size?
Please provide your actual height and rental time, and we will first help you check if there are bicycles available for rent.

What should I do if I cancel the eBike reservation temporarily? Can I refund the deposit?
We are sorry, but the deposit you have paid represents the formal establishment of the bicycle rental contract. The deposit you have paid cannot be refunded. Matthew Bike accepts up to 1 year of road bike rental arrangements and transfers. For more details, please contact the owner directly.

I am a beginner about road bike rental.
Can I have a test ride on a road bike?
Of course! We recommend that beginners come for a test ride. We offer a free 30-minute test ride so you can get a clear idea of how it will feel to ride for the next 10-15 days. Once you have a bike, we will ask you to pay a deposit to hold it for you.

What should I do if the road bike breaks down during the trip?

Can I pick up the bike in advance?
You need to discuss with the owner if it is possible. Please write down the pick-up date and time in the rental form (instead of Your Start Time!).
The pick-up time for the day before is from 4 pm to 8 pm, and there is no additional charge. If you want to pick up the bike before 4 pm, you should mention it in the request, we will charge an additional day. The actual pick-up time is subject to the shop’s arrangement. Please let us know in advance if you have any other questions so that we can make adjustments.

Could I have a short-term daily or hourly road bike rental?
Yes, we offer short-term rentals by the hour or day, and long-term rentals (including round-island equipment) for at least 3 days. Please see the rates for all types of bicycles.

Can I take a bicycle on the MRT or train?

Terms and Conditions
Things to note when you hire a road bike
- Ensure your road bike rental is the right size and properly adjusted to fit you.
- Provide height, span length, we can help you choose the correct size.
- A properly-fitted bicycle is more comfortable and easier to control.
- Right-hand control the rear brake and left-hand control the front brake. Brake checking needs tight or not is important.
- Right-hand control the rear shifting and left-hand control the front shifting. Shift checking needs smooth or not is important.
- Try to ride your road bike to check the weird sound happens or not.
In Taiwan, it is not mandatory to wear a helmet for bicycles. However, riding a bicycle safely is important, and wearing a helmet can help to protect you in the event of an accident. Please follow the manufacturer’s instructions when wearing a helmet, and we can also help you check to make sure it is fitted correctly before you ride.
Generally, ride a bicycle do not need a helmet by law, but ride an electric bicycle needs. For your safety, we suggest that you put on a helmet free rental every time you rent a bicycle from MathewBike!
Our road bike rental always include a helmet and we always suggest you take it!
- Keep to the right by bike, do not compete with cars, and keep a distance from motorcycles.
- Be prepared to take evasive action and knock your bell to alert relating to vehicles that have just passed you and may turn right.
- When making a turn or changing lanes, signal to the vehicle behind with a high hand gesture in advance.
- Do not rush into the car array, do not show off on the road.
- When your children are riding please keep an eye on your children to avoid the danger.
- Do not ride on muddy soil and cause mechanical accident.
- Do not show off your biking stunts, which causing excessive tire wear and tear.
- Do not use the gear ratio overmuch (Biggest to Biggest, Small to Small), which causing wear and tear on the chain.
- Do not overload on the bike.
- Know riding essentials, braking essentials, shifting essentials, road conditions essentials.
Road Bike Rental Terms and Conditions
The renter must confirm and agree that they have inspected the equipment, and that it is in good condition and suitable for the intended use.
Biking involves risks. The Renters acknowledges that, despite such risks, the customer still wishes to participate in the vacation and/or rent and use the equipment. The renter assumes full responsibility for the following: (a) the equipment; (b) the safety of the customer and others.
The renter is responsible for any damage to the equipment (except for reasonable wear and tear and inner tube damage). The renter shall pay MathewBike all or 70% of the cost of all repairs, including the cost of replacing any damaged parts and any labor work to restore the equipment to its condition at the beginning of the rental period. MathewBike has the right to reasonably determine: (a) whether the equipment was damaged during the rental period; (b) whether the damage is beyond reasonable wear and tear; (c) the extent of the damage; and (d) the total cost of the repairs required.
During the rental period, the renter is fully responsible for any damage or loss to the equipment. If the equipment is damaged or lost, the renter will immediately notify MathewBike and will follow all reasonable instructions from MathewBike regarding such damaged or lost equipment.
During the rental period, the renter shall properly and reasonably maintain the equipment. Unless otherwise agreed in the contract, the equipment shall be returned to MathewBike in good condition and working order before the return date specified in the contract. Unless otherwise arranged in advance, late returns will be charged at the daily rental rate until the equipment is returned.
The renter guarantees that all persons who will use the equipment are capable of using the equipment and will comply with all instructions from MathewBike regarding the use and safety of the equipment, and will comply with all laws and obligations related to the use and control of the equipment.
No need to modify the equipment
The renter is not allowed to change or modify the equipment without the consent of MathewBike. Any changes or modifications to the equipment made without the consent of MathewBike will be considered as damage, and the customer will be responsible for 80% of the cost of repair or replacement.
If the equipment is lost or stolen (regardless of the cause), the renter will be responsible and will pay MathewBike the full cost of replacing such equipment.
The customer will be responsible for and compensate MathewBike for any loss of revenue incurred by MathewBike due to the equipment being damaged or lost and being unable to be rented. The cost of loss of revenue will not exceed the cost of renting the equipment for 7 days at the current rental rate.
Bicycle Rental Payment Terms
- A deposit of 1,000 TWD is required to book a long-term road bike rental. The deposit for a daily road bike rental is 100-300 TWD per bicycle.
- Payment methods include cash, LINEPAY, JKOPAY, credit card, PayPal, and bank transfer. The remaining balance must be paid in full on the day of pickup.
- A 30% deposit of the total amount is required to book a bicycle tour. The remaining balance must be paid in full on the day of pickup.
- The client agrees to bear the fees and commodity taxes paid.
- We will require the client to provide copies or collateral of relevant documents, such as identity cards, and any deposit provided by the client shall be used to guarantee the faithful performance of all the terms of this agreement and all necessary repairs to equipment.
- In consideration of regulating the rights and obligations between the parties to the contract, the client agrees to pay all legal fees, court fees or other costs in the event of legal disputes.
Cancellation and refund
- The Client agrees that MathewBike has the right to define all cancellation principles.
- After the “The road bike rental” reservation, no change will be made due to change of mind or absence.
- After booking a “Bike Tour”, the cancellation can be refunded in full for more than 30 days from the start date, and will not be replaced if the start date is less than 30 days.
- No refunds will be made for early returns, late pickups, no-shows or change of mind.
- All applicable refunds will be released upon return of all rented equipment.
- Flexible cancellation policy: We will hold your deposit for up to 1 year for future use.
Termination of contract
The client agrees that MathewBike has the right to terminate this contract and re-own the above bike and equipment at any time. For the above purpose, MathewBike can report the case based on the personal documents provided by the Client during the contract. All losses and legal liabilities will be borne by client bear.
If the service becomes unavailable for the Hire Period due to circumstances beyond MathewBike’ control (such as theft, fire, earthquake, or damage from an earlier hire contract), MathewBike will use its best efforts to offer the Client a suitable alternative. If MathewBike is unable to offer a suitable alternative, the Client will be entitled to some refund minus any costs MathewBike has incurred related to this booking.
