How to rent an electric bike? Are there any sizing for electric bikes?

Please provide your actual height and rental time, and we will first help you check if there are bicycles available for rent.

What should I do if I cancel the eBike reservation temporarily? Can I refund the deposit?

I am very sorry for the paid deposit will not be returned. But MathewBike accepts ebike rental arrangements and transfers with a maximum extension of 1 year. For details, please contact us.

Can an eBike be tested?

Yes, it’s for sure! beginners are recommended to come and try the ride. We provide a half-hour free test ride, so that you can clearly know the riding experience in the next 10-15 days! After confirming that there is an eBike, you will be asked to pay a deposit for the reservation!

What should I do if the eBike breaks during my trip?

You can go to a store I know for repairs: https://mathewbike.com/drop-off-service/

The current bicycle repair stations are: Taipei, Taoyuan, Taichung, Changhua, Tainan, Chiayi, Kaohsiung, Pingtung, Yilan, Hualien, Taitung. Thank all my friends for connecting with and creating a friendly environment for cycling around the island together!

Can I pick up the eBike in advance?

If you have this in mind, please be sure to fill in your desired pickup time when making a reservation.

For example, if you want to pick up the bike on the evening of February 1st, please fill in February 1st and leave a message with your desired pickup time (the time must be within our business hours).

  • For pickups between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM, there is no charge.
  • For pickups between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM, a one-day rental fee will be charged.

The final decision on pickup time rests with MathewBike.
